Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha (3 hr drive) Scenic drive via Dochula Pass (stop for panoramic Himalayan views)

Chimi Lhakhang (Fertility Temple)
Punakha Dzong (one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses)
Suspension Bridge (near Punakha Dzong)
Overnight: Punakha
Day 4: Punakha to Phobjikha (3 hr drive) Early drive to Phobjikha Valley (beautiful glacial valley)
Visit:
Gangtey Monastery (important Nyingma monastery)
Nature trail walk in the valley (good chance to see black-necked cranes in winter)
Explore the peaceful valley and enjoy local village life
Overnight: Phobjikha
Day 5: Phobjikha to Paro (5–6 hr drive) Scenic return drive to Paro
Relax on arrival or visit:
Paro Town (small markets, handicrafts)
Optional: Hot stone bath in a farmhouse
Overnight: Paro
Day 6: Paro – Hike to Tiger’s Nest (Taktsang Monastery) Early morning hike (4–5 hours round trip) to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
After descent, visit:
Kyichu Lhakhang (one of Bhutan’s oldest temples)
Farewell dinner with traditional Bhutanese cuisine
Overnight: Paro
Day 7: Departure from Paro Transfer to Paro Airport for onward journey
